The RoHS is one of the environmental directives, which stands for "the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment".
This Directive, which came into force on July 1, 2006 bans the placing on the EU market of any new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than the agreed level of the specified substances(cadmium, mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)).

The RoHS Directive classifies the electrical and electronic equipment into ten categories. Products in categories 1 through 7 and 10 are currently the subject to this regulation (as of August, 2006). If products in these categories contain more than the agreed level of the specified substances, they will not be allowed to be placed on the EU market after July, 2006.

Since the majority of our products (except some FA computers) are classified under category 9, "Monitoring and control equipments", they are not the subject to the RoHS Directive at this time (as of August, 2006). When our products are incorporated in other equipment, however, the classification of the equipment may change depending on the incorporated equipment. Please check whether the RoHS Directive applies to the incorporated equipment or not.

Electrical and electronic equipment incorporated into the equipment that does not fall under any of the categories for regulation. |
